Time for a relaxing Med Cruise aboard the USNS New York (now made with REAL World Trade Center steel!), with a possible stop in Syria. Hmmm....I think we have stick and are wondering what the hornets are doing today....

Yea, but someone would complain that their kid got scared or maybe some birds or turtles got traumatized, or it blew some sand on you, then they would sue everyone in sight, and then it would cost about $10M for the trial and then the crew would be disciplined and the captain demoted.
Out to the coast we have the Mid Atlantic Electronic Warfare Range (MAEWR) where they train pilots to bomb shit and evade missiles. But they have to train very quietly so as not to disturb the birds, fish or tourists. Friday through Monday it's quiet. Tuesday thru Thursday its afterburner city with an occasional real live sonic boom (OOPS! MY BAD!). When was the last time you heard on of THOSE? Growing up on the Outer Banks in the 50's & 60's sonic booms and flybys were a normal occurence....

Now, that you bring it up ....... it's been forever since I heard a sonic boom.
Edit: That B52 is really, really low, any chance it's Photoshop at work.
Edit 2: Syrian operation, as advertised and unchanged, is a joke.

I saw a chupacabra once. Shot it with my 30-06 and roasted it on a fire.

mmmmm ....chupacabra...dem some fine eatings, dey taste like chickens. I likes mine grillt up with some Texas Whoopass "Hey Bo, Watch This" BBQ sauce. Photoshopped? Naw, out here in the hinterlands, they do shit like this to impress their girlfriends and Congressmen. To impress a Senator, you hand him a big sack of cash and name a state office building after him. THIS is a photoshopped B-52: Syria: where old Mark IV-C Cruise Missiles go to die to clear out the inventory for the new model Mark VI-A's General Dynamics sez we need to buy. Stock Tip: If the missiles fly, General Dynamics you must buy! (Caution, please read the prospectus before making this or any other investment. All bets are off if the missiles hit anywhere but Syria. If they hit Assad AND the rebels, buy 2X. Problem Solved!)

Someone with an Iranian IP tried to hack my mail account.
From Yahoo:
"We noticed a login to your Yahoo! account (forgetitspamer) from an unrecognized device on Mon, Sep 9, 2013 5:25 AM IRDT from Iran."
Unusual timing, perhaps an unwanted guest?
Also, Omar, I just noticed that "under the Dome" was a TV show - any good?

We get a sonic boom very occasionally where my parents live on the west side of the valley up here in NorCal. There is a jet training path out there where it is very lightly populated. Here on the eastside at the airport (our business is out there) the U2's practice touch and go landings and are pretty cool to watch.
