Slapped another 470 in the compuhooptie.......and now fuck me, forgot to do my research.....SLI does not work well in either BF4 or Ghosts.....
texture flicker problem....annoying, but not a game killer.
Oh and BTW, I went back to CODDFLOPS2 and raped...so more power = more power. That is one fine SLI ready game. Supposedly its even killer in 3D.
I was even beating previously "unbeatable" players.
So it seems that those with the most horsies under the hood will always have an advantage. Of course, if you have Spiderman reflexes and think around corners ability like Field Marshall Gamble, you can own on a Tandy 1000.
So Skottie, if you go that route, be forewarned....also download MSI Afterburner, cause one of your GPUs will likely run hot and you neeed a good fan control. Now on occasion I mistake my upper 470 for a 747 taking off, but it never goes past 70C..

Good to hear. I have yet to play Ghosts, are you saying BO2 is better and that's where you will be?

Also finally got around to playing Ghosts, forgot about the unlock perk system. Fuck, makes me long for COD4 where we could use the 55 hack.
Also, I feel old. My reflexes are no longer all there and it takes me a little longer to recognize enemies. Will these abilities come back or must I just deal with the aging process by buying all the supplements (new pc hardware) I can?

Centrum Silver vitamins maybe? Or spend $5K to pwn like Preston (CODFLOPS2 superplayer).
Ghosts is fine...as far as that franchise goes....I will keep playing it even with my flickering silencer/sight (I can turn off SLI). I just got used to CODFLOPS2. I think some of the older games (COD4) are better, but the problem is everyone keeps migrating down the road.
I will confer with the SP muses later tonight/this weekend and see where peoples be playin'

LOL Omar.
I bought 3x2 GB of RAM to bring me to 12 GB. I'm waiting for my used EVGA 460 card which (G_d willing) will be here tomorrow/now today ($127 on E-Bay for both). SLI here I come!
EVGA has a firmware update that brings user controls to the Card Fan (fixed at 70% from the factory), so, now I'll have 100%. Assuming I don't destroy my computer with my over clocking and BIOS flashing plans, then buy I'll a SSD. I'm presently trying to get my nephew to pay for half of the SSD (LOL, yeah right). That will be once everything is done and working (SSD) and I'll put on Win 8.1.
I had planned to retry BF4 with the updated rig (it wasn't stable before). It's disappointing that you didn't get a performance hike with 2 470s. I'm not buying Ghost (I hope), Activision is evil. BOPS2, maybe yes.
To avoid trouble, I'll Defrag first.

BF4 and BOPS 2, I guess. I haven't bought Evil Ghost (or BOPS2) and would settle on BOPS2. Stupid that neither Ghost nor BF4 gets better in SLI. COD4, FTW? How 'bout those Red Sox?

MSI Afterburner is (IMHO) a much better fan/OC controller.
